Description of All Courses

Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) (30 Hours) ↓
Recovery Coach Academy
Recognized nationally as the original and leading recovery offering of its kind, CCAR’s Recovery Coach Academy© is an innovative new approach to healing people’s lives that is unlike any other training. Recovery 4 All offers participants the once-in-a-lifetime experience to gain new knowledge, be challenged, and reap valuable rewards, providing the essential learning, tools, and resources needed to become an effective Recovery Coach.
ethical considerations for recovery coaches  (16 Hours) ↓
Though there is a strong demand and an ever growing need for Recovery Coaching, most organizations hesitate to connect their patients and clients to just anyone that calls themselves a Recovery Coach; they most certainly will not depend on those "recovery coaches" who have no formal ethical training and are without certification from a respected, accredited training organization.

Recovery 4 All , provides this award-winning, industry leading course,  CCAR’s Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches© ,  in which Recovery Coaches receive the educational requirements for certification. Thus, addressing the missing element that most Recovery Coaches lack.

This two day training addresses the critical issues pertaining to ethical considerations in the addiction and recovery support field. Using presentations, small group work, and role play, essential components every Recovery Coach must know, fully understand, and apply with their clients will be addressed. Some of the topics include: defining the coaching service role and functions, coaching standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision making, performance enhancement and legal issues.  Space is limited and this course fills up quickly.
Macro Perspectives of peer and family SYSTEMS support (MPP/FSS)  (21 HOURS) ↓
This Recovery 4 All course is the final course of the Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) Trimester series.  Throughout the training participants are presented with the necessary knowledge and skills on how to apply practical, compassionate solutions and support to individuals and families on their path to and in Recovery using as assets-based model as opposed to a deficit model.

After many years of training in the field of substance use disorders, it is clear that "supporters of recovery" (e.g., family and significant others as well as supporters and addiction support services) can be highly effective in their roles as Recovery Coach Professionals offering recovery support services.  Frequently we hear: people who are in recovery from addiction say, "how can you help me if you are not in recovery from addiction?" Well , it is quite possible that those people have learned a thing or two about how to manage life on life's terms without self medicating.

This training, MPP/FSS covers a lot in the areas of whole health.  Other areas we cover are self -care, advocacy, motivational interviewing, and compassion fatigue.  One whole day is devoted to family systems that cover such things as family roles, co-dependency, enabling and traits of a healthy family.

recovery coaching in an emergency department (12 hours) ↓
Emergency Departments now recognize that Recovery Coaches can make a difference in this high paced setting by connecting those that are present in the ED to pathways of recovery that can be sustained in the long term. Recovery Coaching continues to gain momentum throughout the country, and with good reason. Recovery Coaches can, and do, connect people to long term and sustained recovery.

Because of this, more and more, coaches are being utilized in a variety of settings, including doctors offices, police stations, drug courts, treatment centers, and most notably Emergency Departments. The need for skilled coaches who can easily adapt and work in a fast-paced ED setting is growing exponentially. Recovery 4 All, as provider of the
CCAR’s Recovery Coaching in an Emergency Room©, have learned a great deal about the different training needs of those who choose to serve in this unique role. This course prepares participants for the challenging and rewarding role of a Recovery Coach in the Emergency Department.

Recovery 4 All's Approach

Recovery is more than just abstaining from addictive behaviors and substances. For those afflicted with an addiction, they vividly understand and repeatedly experience it's ever destructive reach, one that extends into all areas of their life - and for some, even to the core of their own identity. As if that was not enough, no one walks away unharmed from addiction's damaging path either; this includes any meaningful relationship, children, family, and communities - and this can last for generations.

Recovery 4 All's experienced training team provides students with personal interaction, critical knowledge, compassionate understanding, and enhanced recovery support skills necessary for every effective Recovery Coach.

Our student-to-instructor ratio and the practice of student/instructor contact between class sessions affords an intimate sized group the opportunity to explore training topics at a depth and breath far beyond normal class dynamics.

Participants tell us they feel inspired to be lifelong learners, not simply just collectors of Continuing Education Units.

Our unique Recovery Coach Training provides the essential components required for recovery support certification. These are crucial to every Recovery Coach as they effectively provide support to individuals, and families, helping each navigate their own pathway in recovery.
