Recovery life concepts and linkages
What does an individual in recovery need to incorporate into their life to sustain recovery? A general answer might be easy to list off, but without seeking to understand what someone's true needs are, your support might be as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
Some individuals in recovery find that just getting their basic human needs met seems to be so far out of reach. For others, life might be so unbalanced, that all they need is some stable footing so they can walk down their own path in recovery. While others might seem to have everything going for them, except that addiction isolated them for so long and they have no healthy social relationships to foster recovery.
Life in recovery, especially early recovery, is different for everyone. Which is why, in this course, you will learn how to help those in recovery understand how to identify what they need, find and access those resources, and get connected and linked to the world around them in healthy ways, where ever they may be at in their recovery.
